    www.history.state.govThe French and Indian War started in 1754. It was part of a larger conflict between the French and Great Britain. It was fought over land. This helped lead to the American Revolution because the British had to raise taxes to pay for the war.

The war was expensive and the British started to put more taxes on the colonists. The taxing caused the colonists to want more freedom, eventually leading to the American Revolution.

The indians were afraid that if the colonists expanded their land they would be pushed out of their land. Colonists thought that the proclamation was to keep the colonists close to the ocean so that the British could watch them. This made the colonists more distrustful of the British, eventually causing the American Revolution.

The cost of the tax was very small, but the colonists were woried that this tax would lead to more. They were right, and this helped lead to the American Revolution

They shot and killed 5 people and wounded 6 others. This showed the colonies that the British just wanted control and this also made the colonists realize they didn't want to be controlled which led to the Revolutionary war.

The patriots had on disguises to look like indians. This helped start the revolution because the British were realizing that they didn't have complete control over the colonies.

They also banned town meetings, British soldiers were tried in England for trial, soldiers could take over homes and other buildings, and they extended their laws to Quebec. They fought a battle and 9 colonists were killed and 1 British soldier. Then British burnt all guns found, 250 British were killed and 90 Colonists were killed. It helped start the American Revolution by showing that Colonists stood up to the British army.
