The Start of the French and Indian War

The End of the French and Indian War

The war was expensive and the British started to put more taxes on the colonists. The taxing caused the colonists to want more freedom, eventually leading to the American Revolution. -

The indians were afraid that if the colonists expanded their land they would be pushed out of their land. Stamp Act

Townshend Acts

The Boston Massacre
www.ushistory.orgThis event was a fight. There was a patriot mob that threw rocks, stones, and sticks etc. at British soldiers. The soldiers were told not to shoot anyone, but they did. They shot and killed 5 people and wounded 6 others. This showed the colonies that the British just wanted control and this also made the colonists realize they didn't want to be controlled which led to the Revolutionary war. -
The Tea Act
www.ushistory.org The tea act was created to help the East India Tea company. They were struggling financially so the extra tea was shipped to the colonies. This caused unrest in the colonies and would eventually lead the the American Revolution. -
The Boston Tea Party

The patriots had on disguises to look like indians. This helped start the revolution because the British were realizing that they didn't have complete control over the colonies. -
Intolerable Acts

They also banned town meetings, British soldiers were tried in England for trial, soldiers could take over homes and other buildings, and they extended their laws to Quebec. This made the colonists want to start a revolution. -
Lexington and Concord

They fought a battle and 9 colonists were killed and 1 British soldier. Then British burnt all guns found, 250 British were killed and 90 Colonists were killed. It helped start the American Revolution by showing that Colonists stood up to the British army. -
