The French and Indian War, also known as The Seven Years War, took place in North America. It was a fight over land and wealth between French and the English. It is known to have caused a rivalry between the colonists and the British. -
The Proclamation of 1763 was the ending of the French and Indian War. This banned settlements and expansions beyond the Appalachians. It was issued by the British to make the Native Americans happy. -

The Boston Massacre started as just an argument between an American colonist and a British soldier. Slowly it escalated and more colonists and British soldiers showed up. The British soldiers ended up shooting and killed a total of five colonists. -
The Tea Act was another tax that the colonists had to pay. This tax was on tea in which led to the Boston Tea Party. -
The Boston Tea Party was a protest by the colonists. The colonists were mad because of the taxes that were being imposed and they dumped “342 chests of tea”. -
The Intolerable Acts were five laws that were passed by the British onto the colonists. The acts were the Boston Port Act, the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, the Quartering Act, and the Quebec Act. -
The First Continental Congress was created after the Intolerable Acts were enforced. The Continental Congress was made up of colonists and they made it because they didn’t approve of the taxes. -
Lexington and Concord was a battle. The British had a plan but the Americans heard their plan and were ready for the British to arrive. Many British died, were wounded, or were missing, but only 7 Americans were said to have died.
