    The French and Indian War led Great Britain to have a large war debt. As a result, the British planned on taxing the colonies to pay down this debt.

    This was an act where the british banned the colonists from settling west of the Appalation Mountians. They did this because the king said that he would not protect them if the moved to the mountians but everyone ignored him and moved anyway.

    Sugar Act
    They put taxes onall there goods including sugar and molasses that included harsh punishments for smugglers. Britain wanted more money so they raised th prices and put taxes on the colonists goods.
  • Quarting Act

    Quarting Act
    This act forced colonists to allow british soliders into there homes and care for them for the time that they were at war. This act didn't work because most colonist would not allow for this to happen. Or they would lwet them in but would not feed them or they would just ignor their needs while they stayed with them.

    The stamp act put taxes on all stamps which had to go on everything including Wills,Paper<Playing Card,etc.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    Britain put a tax on imports including lead, tea, glass. The writs of assitance allowed Britain customs to search ships with no reason they could just get on a ship and seach if they wanted.

    In the Boston Massacre alot of people were geting shot mainly for no reason. People who were just walking down the street even got shot if they were seen.

    During the Tea Act Britain made everyone buy tea and pay tax on it. In every house hold you would find tea shipped in from Britain. Tea was the one thing that everyone just had to drink.

    For the Boston Tea Party a group of colonists dressed up like native americans. Then got on a ship and in the middle of the ocean they dumped 100,000 worth of tea in the ocean.

    The Coercive acts were the names for all the acts that the coloinists found un-fair, which was pretty much all of them.
  • Paul Revere's Ride

    On April 18,1775 Paul Rever road on his horse over night to get to Concord Massachusettes to warn the colonist's that the Regulars or The British army were coming to tkae over the colonies. He rode along with Billy Dawes and Sam Presscott. Only one accually made it to Concord and that was Sam Presscott.

    The fight at Lexington and Concord is the fight that began the Revolutionary war. In the first shots fired there is 8 People dead and 10 Wounded. They were all Patriots.
