  • Proclomation of 1763

    Baned colonists from settleing west of the Appalachin Mountains because they didn't want another war.
  • Sugar Act

    Taxed sugar and molasses coming from everywhere exept Great Britan.
  • Stamp Act

    Taxed newspaper, playing cards, dice, and legal paperes. The colonists in return boycotted the goods.
  • Townshend Act

    Taxed glass, paper, paint, lead, and tea. Let tax collectors search for smuggled goods also sent 1,000 troops to control protests
  • Boston Massacar

    Deadly fight between British troops and colonists because of the townshend act.
  • Tea Act

    Gave the British East India Company complete controle of the tea trade.
  • Boston Tea Party

    When the Colonists had enough of the Tea act they dressed up like indians and dumped hundreds of dollars worth of tea into the Boston harbor.
  • Intolorable Acts

    Britain punished teh colonist by closeing Boston harbor, made town meetings baned, makeing British soldiers be housed in private residences, and sent British soldiers to Britain to be tried.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Battle between the British and colonists; first battle in the Revolutionry war. Initialaly ment to capture rebel ammunition.
  • Second Continential Congress

    12 colonies representatives were sent to Philedelphia to decide how to react to teh fighting, form the Continential army with George Washinton in charge, Sent out the Olive Branch Petition but it fails.
  • Declaration of Independence

    A document stating that all people have unalianable rights, that the goverment is decided by the people, and they have the right to break away from Great Britian . This was drafted about 200 times and written by Thomas Jeferson.
