When the Colonists had enough of the Tea act they dressed up like indians and dumped hundreds of dollars worth of tea into the Boston harbor. -

Britain punished teh colonist by closeing Boston harbor, made town meetings baned, makeing British soldiers be housed in private residences, and sent British soldiers to Britain to be tried. -

12 colonies representatives were sent to Philedelphia to decide how to react to teh fighting, form the Continential army with George Washinton in charge, Sent out the Olive Branch Petition but it fails. -

A document stating that all people have unalianable rights, that the goverment is decided by the people, and they have the right to break away from Great Britian . This was drafted about 200 times and written by Thomas Jeferson.
