The Japanese killed more than 300,000 Chinese men, women, and children. Many of the women and children were taken advantage of. this increased tensions between countries even more. -
On, May 29, 1939, Germany and Italy took their political alliance and turned it into a military alliance by signing the Pact of Friendship and Alliance. also known as the Pact of Steel. This furthered the bond and trust between Hitler and Mussolini. -
On September 1, 1939, this day marked the start of WW2 with the German invasion of Poland, which made Great Britain and France declare war against the axis powers. -
On September 27, 1940, the Axis powers were formed by the tripartite pact ( Germany, Italy, and Japan). This marked the point where they became allies to fight in the war.
