On July 29th, 1921, Hitler was announced the leader of the Nazi Party. He faced adversity at first, being called too violent and then resigning from the party, until later returning once the party realized they needed him. -

On November 8th, 1923, Nazi troops surrounded the Munich Beer Hall, while Hitler and his storm troopers bursted in. This was a plan to kidnap the leaders of the Bavarian government and force them to accept Hitler as their leader. -
Hitler's tried for Treason
On April 1rst, 1924, Hitler was convicted of treason and sent to the fortress in Landsberg, but it was a very light sentence. He got many perks and got out extremely early, along with other members of the Nazi party that were part of the Beer Hall Putsch. -
Mein Kampf is written
On July 18th, 1925, HItler wrote Mein Kampf. It was a mix of an autobiography and his political ideology. -
Stock Market Crash
On October 29th, 1929, the Stock Market crashed on Wall Street. This especially affected Germany because they were very reliant on foreign capital. Germany's population was immediately put into poverty. -
Nazis elected to Reichstag
On September 14th, 1930, Hitler was able to appeal to all classes of society, even calling the Nazi Party the "National Socialst German Workers' Party". The Nazi Party ended up winning 107 seats in the German Reichstag. -
Hitler voted Chancellor of Germany
On January 30th, 1933, Hitler met with Hidenburg to get his chancellorship. Hugenburg almost ruined this when he argued one last time with Hitler over his demand for new elections. -
The Reichstag building burns down
On February 27, 1933, the German parliament building, Reichstag, burned down.The government portrayed the fire as part of a Communist effort to overthrow the state, but that wasn't true. Because of this fire, the Reichstag Fire Decree was created. -
Hitler becomes dictator of Germany
On March 23rd, 1933, Hitler became the dictator of Germany. He broke the old tradition of local political independence by sending thugs into government offices using the state of emergency decree to throw out legitimate office holders. They then replaced those spots with Nazi commissioners.
