The battle of lexington and concord help kick off the American Revolutionary War it happened from 1775 to 1783. tension had been building for many years in between the 13 colonies and the British especially in massachusetts. Nearly 1/3 of all the battles fought during the revolutionary war happened in New york. One battle that happened there was The Capture of Fort Ticonderoga. Another important battle that happened was the Battle of Saratoga that turned the tide of the entire war effort and was a key factor in gaining the assistance from France. -
Bunker Hill
This event happened during the Revolutionary war on June 17 1775. The British defeated the americans at the battle of bunker hill in Massachusetts. All though they lost, the colonist did a significant amount of damage on the British soldiers. also although called Bunker hill, the fight actually happened on Breeds Hill.
