The treaty that officially ended the French & Indian war. All french power was lost in the New world. Britain was now in debt because of the war.

King George III issued a proclamation that forbade colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. In so doing, he hoped to protect colonists from the Indians, and stop war between the two. This only made the settlers upset because this had forced any colonists west of the Appalachians over to the east. It had also limited the settlers greatly.
