This is significant in the American Revolution because he founded many of the ideas which the colonists used to structure the government.

    Thomas Jefferson was significant in the American Revolution because he served in the Virginia legislature, the Continental Congress, and was the governor of Virginia.

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord were significant to the Revolutionary War because they were the first fights of the Revolutionary War. Between the minutemen and the British, shots were fired and 8 minutemen were killed and 1 British soldier was injured.

    The Second Continental Congress was significant to the Revolutionary War because they voted to go to war. The Second Continental Congress was made up of delegates from the thirteen colonies.

    A battle fought during the Siege of Boston, where the British won, it was significant because it gave the rebels a sense of hope because the British did not win by a lot.

    The Olive Branch Petition was a document created by the colonists to the King, where they stated their loyalty and stated their rights but it did not end up working, so it was significant because it was a last result of not going to war.

    The Declaration of Independence was a document which stated the goals of the country, complaints of the colonists, etc. It was significant to the American Revolution because it basically separated the colonies from Great Britain.

    The Battle of Trenton was significant to the American Revolution because it was the first battle that George Washington won with his forces against the British.
  • Princeton

    The Battle of Princeton was a battle George Washington’s forces and the British but George Washington and his forced ended up winning this battle. The significance of this battle is that the British lost control of New Jersey, so they retreated to New York and it led the Americans to believe that they could win the war.

    The Battles of Saratoga were made of two battles, fought 18 days apart, and were won by the Continental Army. The significance of the Battles of Saratoga is significant because it was the battle which persuaded the French to join and fight against Britain.

    Valley Forge was a camp chosen by George Washington in the winter of 1777, it was significant because it led some soldiers to believe that George Washington was an incompetent leader and wanted to replace him although that did not happen.

    Spain entered the Revolutionary War as an ally of France, and supplied the colonists with supplies and munitions, and Spain also financed the Siege of Yorktown.

    The Battle of Cowpens was fought between George Washington’s forces, and Tarleton’s forces. This battle was significant because it was a turning point in the Southern Colonies because they had many losses and they won this battle.

    The Siege of Yorktown was between French and American forces against British forces, and the French and American forces won. The significance is that it ended the revolutionary war because of the British surrender.
