  • The Battle of Lexington

    The minutemen were prepared to battle against the British, yet the British commander made orders for the men to stand down. Despite the orders the minutemen were in for a fight which concluded to the first battle of the Revolutionary War. It resulted in 15 minutes
  • Concord

    The British marched to Concord and lined up and marched back to Boston. The minutemen were waiting for their arrival and then their rivalry began.
  • The Battle of Bunker Hill

    The British general decided to strike the militiamen. The battle resulted in being the deadliest battle of the war considering over 1,500 men were either injured or killed during the process.
  • New York

    The British attempted to seize New York City to stop the rebellion. During the process the British sailed into NY with a force of about 32,000 soldiers.
  • Trenton

    The British marched to Trenton, New Jersey and surprised a Garrison of Hessians as they defeated them unexpectedly. They later on regrouped and moved down to Philadelphia.
  • Saratoga

    Saratoga experienced a victory as well as a destructive defeat. There was even a surrender at Saratoga which was one of the most important even that occurred there.
  • Marquis de Lafayette

    Lafayette was a foreign military leader. He later on influenced France for French reinforcements. He also led in command in Virginia.
  • Valley Forge

    A part of Pennsylvania in which where people would camp during the winter, yet due to low stock of food and supplies it caused many people to die. More than 2,000 soldiers died.
  • York Town

    The British army decided to camp at York Town with his army of 7,500. Many armies would then move down to York Town. French and American troops surrounded the British which resulted to the Americans defeating the British.
  • Philadelphia

    Philadelphia
    Funds were raised from Philadelphia for the Continental army. Philadelphia was well known for one of it's merchants Robert Morris who raised money for the Continental army.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was signed indicating that the United States had independence and was declared a new nation. The United States would further on be stretch with certain borders as limitations.
