    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    Located in Lexington and Concord Massachuetts. The battle of kicked off the Revolutionary War. There had been tension between the 13 American colonies and British authorities, particulary in Massachusetts on April 18,1775 British troops marched from Boston to Concord. Paul Revere sounded an alarm and colonial militiamen. Confrontation on the Lexington twon General Green Started the fight and British retreated. American colonies won.
  • Siege of Ft. Ticonderoga

    Siege of Ft. Ticonderoga
    The siege of Ft. Ticonderoga was located on Lake Champlain in Northeastern, New York. Benedict Arnold of Massachuetts joined Ethan Allen and green mountain boys of Vermont in a dawn attack on the fort, surprising and capturing British garrison. The battle of Ft. Ticonderoga was the first American victory of Revolutionary war and it gave Continental Army artillery to be used in future battles.

    located at Charlestown Massachuetts.The British defeated the Americans at the Battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. Despite their loss, the inexperienced colonial forces against the enemy, and the battle provided them with an important confidence boost. Although commonly referred to as the Battle of Bunker Hill, most of the fighting occurred on nearby Breed’s Hill.

British troops were able to take the American defense of the fort and take control of this last remaining American stronghold in Manhattan

    General William Howe and Charles Cornwallis launched a british attack on General George Washington in Brandywine Creek near Chadds Ford, in Delware County Pennisylvania.Howe and Cornwallis spilt their 18,000 British troops into two separate divisions, with Howe leading an attack from the front and Cornwallis circling around Washingtons army. Washington retreated and british won.

After Burgoyne had captured Fort Ticonderoga in July 1777 his troops ran into trouble, supplies ran short, then he sent an expedition to Bennington to capture American supplies but a force of New England militia met them and defeated them. his men were surrounded near Saratoga by the Continental Army, he surrendered. This battle was the turning point of the war and convinced France to help the americans.
  • Battle of Charleston

    It took place towards the end of the American Revolutionary wars because British focused all attention on fighting Southern Colonies. Sir Henry Clinton had attempted to capture Charleston in South Carolina, but the plan had failed.

The battle was a big moment in the Southern campaign. The surprising victory over the American Loyalist militia came after a string of rebel defeats and raised the Patriots morale.

Battle of Yorktown in 1781 was a decisive victory by combined assault of American forces led by George Washington and French forces led by General Comte de Rochambeau over a British Army commanded by General Lord Cornwallis. It proved to be the last major land battle of the American Revolutionary War, as the surrender of Cornwallis's army prompted the British government eventually to negotiate an end to the conflict.
