The King’s troops reached Lexington and were faced with 70 minutemen. The british wanted them to leave their arms and leave, but they didn’t. Someone fired and the first battle of the Revolutionary war began and lasted 15 minutes.

Minutemen saw 700 british troops coming to Concord. Paul Revere and others went around Concord and started announcing that the British was coming.

Thomas Gage decided to fire at militiamen at Breed’s Hill. He sent 2,400 British soldiers up to the hill and they began to mow down the colonist, making this the deadliest battle of the war.
