    The French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War started in 1754 and ended in 1763.

    The Royal Proclamation was a law that King George created that made it so colonists could not move west of the Appalachian mountains.
  • The Stamp Act

    King George decided to start taxing the colonists because he wanted more money. This made it so that the colonists had to pay extra for the stamp. The colonists had to get the stamp for all paper items.
  • The Townshend Acts

    This was another tax that made it so the colonists had to pay extra for tea, glass, paper, and Lead
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a battle that happened in 1770. It started because a mob of angry colonists started throwing rocks and snow balls at British Soldiers. The soldiers started getting angry and shot into the crowd and killed five people.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea Act was a rule that made it so the colonists had to buy tea from the British East India Company.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was not a traditional tea party. It was where the colonists disguised themselves as American Indians and snuck onto the British boats. When they were on the boats they dumped 90,000 pounds of British tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    When King George heard about the Boston Tea Party he got very angry and closed the Boston Harbor.
