It ended up that the US Colonies won the battle because they took their enemy by surprise. They did that by crawling through a broken wall while the British soldiers were asleep. It gave the US Colonies more ammo and 50 cannons which they drug on sleds by oxen.

The war was against the British army that consisted of 8,980 soldiers and the US Colonies that consisted of 20,600 soldiers.
