The proclamation is when the the King wanted the proclamation to make the native americans aware that none of the colonists would intrude their territory and make them leave while they are in the process of moving westward. Sugar Act of 1764
The sugar act is when the british put a tax on important goods such as sugar for they could get more money to give the colonies protection. The colonists were upset, because they wouldnt be able to sell their goods for as much and they would lose money. The colonies did a boycott against the british. -
Currency Act of 1764
The Currency act is when they prohbited any american colonies from issuing currency. The colonists were very upset about this and protested against it. Many colonies made their own money, but some of it was worth little or nothing. -
Stamp act
The stamp act was to enforce governmental authority over the American colonies. They placed taxes on paper printed matters. The colonists hated this idea and threatened the stamp mean who were allowing this. They believed that only represenatives could only tax them. -
Quartering Act of 1765
The Quartering Act is when " several regulations are made and enacted for the better government of the army, and their observing strict discipline, and for providing quarters for the army, and carriages on marches and other necessary occasions, and inflicting penalties on offenders against the same act, and for many other good purposes therein mentioned"This gave the soldiers the right to intrude into the colonists homes and take over. The colonists weren't happy about this. -
Stamp Act of congress
James Otis called a meeting with all the other colonies to go against the england tax laws. The colonists weren't mad at all because the act was going against the stamp act. -
Declaratory Act
The declaration act was to attempt to regulate the behavior of the colonists in America. The act didnt get the colonists that angry because they saw it as a face saving mechanism. -
Townsend Act
The townsend act was to give the british colonies certain duties. The colonist were without adoubt upset about this because they saw it was a threat to their rights.
