  • Sugar Act

    On 05 April, 1764 the Parliament passed an act called the Sugar Act. The Sugar Act was a way for the British to pay for the French and Indian War by increasing taxes on sugar products. The colonists were angry of the act. They had to pay more for sugar, non-British coffee, and wine because of taxes. The British government were happy and vicious because of the money they were getting.

  • Currency Act

    On 24 July, 1764 the Parliament passed an act called the Currency Act. The Currency Act was the act that required colonists to pay British merchants in gold and silver, rather than inflated colonial paper currency. This made it illegal for colonies to produce paper money.. The reaction of the colonists was angry and refused to pay. The British Government were angry at the colonists.

  • Stamp Act

    On 22 March, 1765 the Parliament passed an act called the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act increased taxes on legal paper, newspapers, and magazines. The colonists reacted mad because they didn't get approval. The British Government reaction were again angry at the colonists.

  • Quartering Act

    On 24 March, 1765 the Parliament passed an act called the Quartering Act. The Quartering Act made colonists give food to the British soldiers. The colonists reaction was kinda mad because they need food also. The British Government was angry.

  • Townshend Act

    On 29 June, 1767 the Parliament passed an act called the Townshend Act. The Townshend Act were designed to collect revenue from the colonists in America by putting customs duties on imports of glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea. The colonists reaction was quite angry. The British Government were so-so.
