1310, Divine Comedy Written by Dante Alighieri
The most famous part of the Poem is "Inferno". Dante wrote in that part of the poem that they were 9 circles of sins. It meant when you did something bad your afterlife will be the 9 circles of sin, each circle keeps getting worse. If your a heratic you will be trapped in a hot tomb forever and for traitors frozen forever except for face so you fel pain. This was good because it prevented people from doing bad things. -

Leonardo Studies Human Anatomy
The anatomies of the human body are skeleton, muscles, veins and internal organs. He dissected thirty dead bodies and carefully drew many of the parts. His drawings of bones and muscles were to help other artists to paint the human body properly. This was extremely important to the way poeople thought. In the medival time they drew a picture of a foetus in the womb. In the womb was a fully grown man but the way Da Vinci drew it was different he saw a baby. This has changed the world by alot. -

William Harvey said blood was pumped by the Heart
When he said that it changded the opinions of people around the world as they staarted to think differently.
Harvey' ideas came from dissecting human bodies. Harvey found that the liver would have to make 540 pounds of blood every hour for Galen to be right. This showed him that the blood was not being used up. It was being reused by the body. He said blood flowed through the heart in two loops. One loop went to the lungs and got oxygen. The other loop gave oxygen to the body. -
