At the age of 2, my parents would read stories to me at bed time. These stories would range from classic children's books to age-appropriate bible stories.

This was one of my favorite activites that I looked forward to every summer. My local library would host a summer reading program. There were contests on who read the most books and story time.

The beginning of my 1st grade year is whenver I did not enjoy reading anymore. I would read enough to get my points and to keep my parents happy.

In the 5th grade, I completed my first book report. I chose "Shilo" by Phillis Reynolds Naylor.

In the 7th grade, we read "The Outsiders" as a class. This was our first chapter book to read together.

We read "Hamlet" in our 10th grade English class. This book was not very enjoyable for me because it was difficult to understand.

My junior year in high school, I decided to take dual-credit colllege courses. While the reading was not as difficult as "Hamlet", I was able to understand what I read and made A's in the classes.

When I started babysitting, I was able to enjoy reading again. Children's books are the best!
