Entered into a contract with 3rd party to lease fiber optic cable linking all schools via fiber. Reduced costs and increased efficiencies for all stakeholders.

A broadbased planning committee reviewed the needs for RCSC and proposed to the School Board that a new Primary Elementary School be built. In addition, a recommendation for all school builidngs to receive security and safety upgrades was also delivered.

RCSC sent a team to this conference to gain knowledge of how other school districts across the nation were moving towards a 1:1 environment.

Phase 1- Began the installation of an Interactive White Board, Projector, and Voice Amplification System for each classroom at RCSC.

RCPS played an integral role in the development of RCSC's technology infrastructure. All computing will be processed at the RCSC Data Center and delivered via fiber opitic cable from RCHS.

Clean power and cooling allow for mission critical hardware to be protected and better utilized across the network. 20 kW power and 2 in-row coolers protect our servers, switches and other hardware.

The GO Bond allows for necessary infrastructure upgrades to wireless, 21st Century Technology in Classrooms, and teacher MacBooks to be purchased.

All teachers issued iPads and Macbook Airs for experimentation and learning the basics prior to teacher training in the summer.

Teachers were offered over 100 hours of training in the summer. Attendance rate for the 1 day of required training was 100%.

Students issued iPads after parents attend a Digital Citizenship Meeting and register for fthe first day of school including book rental payment. Minimum payment of $20 required to recieve an iPad.
