In 1440, German inventor Johannes Gutenberg invented a printing press process that helped the production of books , this was a faster and easier way to make more bibles rather than writing each one out. -

No one is exaclty sure when the the first typewrite came around because there was so many failed attempts however, the first typewriter to be commercially successful was invented in 1868 by Americans Christopher Sholes, Carlos Glidden and Samuel Soule in Milwaukee Wisconsin. -
