The babies sex will become apparent. Baby can swallow and make urine. Your baby is about 3 1/2 inches in length & weighs about 1 1/2 ounces.

Baby is moving but mother cannot feel it. Baby is now 4 1/2 inches in length and weighs about 4 ounces.

All organs and structure is formed. Breathing movements occur but are underdeveloped. Baby has regular sleep and wake patterns and may begin to suck on thumb. Baby is covered in lanugo and is about 6 1/2 inches long.

Your baby is more active, has nails, fingerprints, eyebrows, lashes, and possibly some hair. You can now hear the baby's heart beat with a stethoscope. Baby is now at the lowest limit of viablity and is about 7 1/2 inches in length & weighs about 1 pound.

Baby is developing lungs. Has wrinkly, translucent & pinkish red skin. Regular sleep and wake patterns and baby is now 8 inches in length and weighs about 1 1/3 pounds.

Your baby's eyes can now partially open and close. Baby has central neruose system and lungs oan worth. Baby is now 10 inches and 2 1/4 pounds.

Baby has finished major development and rapid weight gain. lanugo starts to fall off. 11 inches and 3 1/4 pounds.

The baby is now growing fingernails and toenails. They are developing breathing motion and is beginning to responf to light. Your baby's skin is now pink and smoothe and they are now 12 inches and 4 1/2 pounds.

Your baby is now 13 1/2 inches and 6 pounds, taking up most of the amniot sac. The baby starts to turn its head and continues to gain 1/2 a pound a week until delivery.

Yourr baby's brain, lungs and liver is still developing. The brain will double in size between weeks 35-39. Lung development in the last few weeks help with fewer complications after birth and weight gain helps with temperature control after birth. On week 39 baby is considered full term.
