Prenatal Timeline

  • Month 1

    Month 1
    During this time the amniotic sac and the placenta develop. The face of the baby also begins to develop. Blood cells take shape, and circulation begins. Mothers may experience tender, swollen breast, fatigue, and nausea. Mothers should keep a healthy diet containing fruits and consume vitamins. The baby is the size of a grain of rice.
  • Conception- Month 1

    Egg travels through the Fallopian tubes where it gets fertilized by sperm. The fertilized egg then implants itself into the uterus. The baby then begins to grow. The mother may feel may feel tired, queasy, or moody during this time, but will not feel much.
  • Month 2

    Month 2
    The baby's face continues to develop. Limbs also begin to grow during this time. The digestive tract and sensory organs begin to develop. The mother may experience Nausea, vomiting, food sensitivity and fatigue. others can wear a comfortable and supportive bra, eat healthy foods regularly, and rest. The baby is the size of a raspberry.
  • Month 3

    Month 3
    Baby has arms, hands, fingers, feet, and toes and can open and close its fists and mouth. Mother will experience nausea, moodiness, and cravings. Mothers should eat foods rich in vitamins and carbohydrates. The baby is the size of a lime.
  • Month 4

    Month 4
    Baby’s face and heart are fully formed at this point, though the lungs are still developing. You may find yourself feeling a bit better and back to your old self. Mothers should sleep on their left side, exercise, and continue to eat healthy. The baby is the size of an avocado.
  • Month 5

    Month 5
    The baby is now covered with fine protective hair. The baby will develop finger prints and you can determine the sex of the baby. The mother will gain weight, have an increased appetite, and fatigue may return. Mothers can swim, give in to some cravings, and listen to their body. The baby is the size of a banana.
  • Month 6

    Month 6
    You’ll be aware of baby’s movements as he or she stretches and hiccups. Baby’s eyes now open and close and vocal cords are functioning. The mother will experience bleeding gums, constipation, heartburn and leg cramps. The mother can focus on their posture, exercise, and eat good amounts of food. The baby is the size of cantaloupe.
  • Month 7

    Month 7
    During this time the baby is developing fat under the skin. The child can now see, hear, and taste. The brain of the baby is also growing rapidly. Mothers may experience hands and feet cramping, feeling more movement of the baby, and the feeling of looser joints. Mothers can avoid having an empty stomach for long periods, to prevent heartburn. The baby is the size of an eggplant.
  • Month 8

    Month 8
    During this time the baby lungs and brain continue to develop. Movements of the baby will slow as it grows and has less room. The mother may experience discomfort, stretch marks may appear, and indigestion and heartburn may become more intense. Mothers can use good posture, lie down and rest to avoid pain, and continue to eat healthy. The baby is the size of a squash.
  • Month 9

    Month 9
    During this time the baby's lungs and brain grow greatly. For the mother sleep will become very difficult, they may gain more weight, and their abdominal pressure will be released. Mothers during this time should rest, continue flexing muscles to avoid cramps, take time for yourself. The baby is the size of a honeydew.
  • Delivery

    Delivery
    The delivery date is October 8th.The baby is the size of jack fruit at the time of delivery.
