The Lost Colony Of Roanoke
An established permanent English settlement in the new world. 115 colonists settled by chesapeake bay led by John white. After some time they ran out of supplies and John sailed back. When he came back a major war had broken out and John white served for three years, but to his surprise when he sailed back to the colony was no where to be found. -
The Tunguska Event
The Tunguska event was an explosion estimated at 1000 times more powerful and damaging than the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima. It was located near podkamennaya, Tunguska river in Siberia. A 15 megaton explosion which knocked over 80 million trees at a 1300 square mile area. Shock waves occurred in parts of Asia, Europe and even as far as England. -
Apollo 11
The first space flight that landed human life on the moon. Commander Neil Armstrong and moon pilot Buzz Aldrin formed an American group that landed the apollo lunar module eagle on July, 24,1969. Armstrong then went and became the first person to walk on the moon.
