    Jim should communicate about the transition through his blog, and his posts about the news of his transition should make it very clear that he is not retiring from the company, and will still be at HLBTR full time. Rather, he is taking a new position.

    Jim and Mark: Go through your current list of managed clients and decide which clients you will no longer have the time to manage or will not want to manage after the transition. New client managers need to be assigned to these clients.

    Jim and Mark will hold private meetings with the client managers to discuss transition plan specific timeslines.

    Mark will give the client managers taking over his clients any and all materials they will need to manage their new client. Profiles, past data and other information all need to be transferred to the new client manager.

    Meet with the individuals producing the HLBTR film and get a schedule established for production.

    Mark and Jim will lead the happy hour held at HLBTR. Mention the managing partner transition again, let everyone know it is only a few months away! Mark speak about the quarter and progess of the company, demonstrate leadership at these company gatherings to earn the trust of the employees.

    An anouncement of the managing partner transition at HLBTR should be posted on the front page of the comapny website so that visitors know about the important upcoming change and how we are handling it.

    The marketing team will issue a formal press release addressing the managing partner transition. The press release should be received by the appropriate media outlets, including the Business Journal, and closely affiliated businesses.

    Get everyone excited about the upcoming transition that will be taking place in the next couple months! Create atmosphere of positivity so that everyone can be relaxed and comfortable with this change in the company.

    It is important to thoroughly communicate with the firm 's staff about this big change at the company. A newsletter should be created by the marketing team, half of it focusing on Jim and his accomplishments as managing partner and half of it welcoming Mark and highlighting his goals and promises to the company as he steps into the managing partner position.
    The letters will be printed distributed to each person's desk, or they can pick one up from Pam when they walk into work on this day.

Jim and Mark will be the focus of the happy hour - Jim can talk about his time at HLBTR and the future of the company and his role in it, and Mark can introduce himself as the official new managing partner and his expectations/goals for the company.
