    Mussolini creates his own newspaper because he wanted to show that he opposed Italy being involved in WWI. Also he used propaganda in this newspaper.

    February Revolution

    This revolution removed Tsar Nicholas II from power. The Duma was dissolved, and regiment started supporting the workers.

    The October Revolution was a time of the Bolsheviks. They seized control of Petrograd and the last remaining holdout of the Provisional Government.

    Treaty Versailles is signed

    They signed the Treaty of Versailles so that Germany and other Central Powers would get forced to take the blame for WWI. Germany was stripped of a lot of things such as, armies, land, and they were made to pay for a lot of damage that they caused.

    The king was afraid of an army revolt or a civil war, so he appointed Mussolini as Prime Minister. Not only was he appointed Prime Minister, but he was asked to form a new government.

    When Hitler became Chancellor of Germany he expanded the army tremendously, reintroduced, conscription, and began developing a new air force. Doing this he violated all the rules of the Treaty of Versailles.

    Mussolini invaded Ethiopia because he wanted to boost Italian national prestige. Poisonous gas, aerial bombardment, flame throwers, and concentration camps were all employed and used for this.

    He did The Great Purge because he wanted to eliminate dissenting members of the Communist Party and everyone he considered a threat. It is estimated that 3/4 of a million people were killed.

    The Kristallnacht was a program against Jews that was creates by the Nazi party. This was a way to get Jews arrested and sent to concentration camps.
