    The daguerreotype was made obselete as plack and white photography continued to evolve unitl the advent of color photograph by James Clerk Maxwell. The picture was made oy compining photos taken through green, red, and blue filters.

    John Logie Baird created the first televised moving image using a rapidly rotating Nipscow scanning disk. It was limited to 12.5 frames per second and had only 30 lines of resolution, but was very impressive for the time. Note the use of lines not pixels.

    CTR, which stands for cathod ray tube was invented by Philo T. Farnsworth. The television works by firing elctrons that are directed by magnets towards a phophorescent screen. This was superior to the Nipscow disk in that there were no moving parts.
