    41-54 AD - The son of Drusus Claudius Nero, Claudius became the new emperor post Tiberius' rule. Although, he was plagued with many defects, he was the highly favored & became the army's choice of ruler, which was a major, postitive decision as it proved that there was no line of succession in place, and Claudius was the chosen one. He was known for extending citizenship and for setting up ministries to handle the government.

    79 A.D. to 81 A.D. The succesor and son of Vespasian. Under his father's command, Titus was left in charge to march onto Rome to end the Jewsih rebellion. After the death of his brother, Domitian, who brought upon new prosperity to Rome, the end of their dynasty came about (end of the the Flavian Dynasty).

    The Five Good Emperors - Antonine dynasty
    Th succeding period after the Flavian dynasty was known as the "the year of the Five Good Emperors". In this time it began with Nerva (96 A.D. to 180 A.D.), the first emperor who played a major role in exposing the Pisonian consipiracy. Following Nerva, the next four emperors would be Trajan, Hadrian, Antonius Pius, and Marcus Aurelius. All five were succeded to the throne by birth, except Titus.
