Most struggles in the panama was that they didn't have alot of workers to get the job in time. Most of the workers got malaria from the misquitos and got yellow fever from the damp weather. The construction workers didn't care what they got payed to build the Panama canal. -

gorgas came up with an idea to get rid of malaria and yellow fever was to put tents that protected the workers. so, what they did is they went to every shrub and killed it. then, they drained every little pond of water. -
