Oskar Schindler was born April 28, 1908

Serviced in many services and became corporal for the reserves. Schindler joined the Amt Auslands/Abwehr of the German Armed Forces.

In February 1939, Schindler joined the Nazi party. It was unexpected of him because most of his interest were high class and he was unusual for him to fight in a war.

Schindler moved to Krakow from Svitavy in October 1939. He moved from the Czech Republic to Poland during the German invasion of Poland.

In November of 1939, Schindler bought Emalia or Rekord Ltd, which was originally a Jewish owned factory. Emalia employed around 1,700 jews, saving them from the concentration camps.

The Jewish workers lived in the Krakow ghetto but were forced to relocate after its liquidation. This lead to about 1,000 Jewish forced laborers to move to forced labor and concentration camps.

Schutzstaffelor Protection Squad or the SS, assigned Plasow as a concentration camp in August 1943. Schindler convinced the SS to allow him to make Emilia into a sub camp of Plaszow, saving hundreds of Jewish lives.

In October of 1944, the SS took the Jews in Emalia and transferred them to Plaszow. To help the Jews, Schindler relocated his factory and turned it into an armaments factory. He than requested a list of 1,200 Jews to work for him.

On March 9, 1945, Soviet troops liberated the camp. On this day, Schindler left Brünnlitz.

Oskar Schindler died In October of 1974. He died in Germany and was never rewarded or known for his heroic actions.
