    The tariff was protective and helped protect farming interest by raising the cost of importing goods. This left South Carolina poorer.

    This was a protest to the tariff of 1828 from South Carolina because it negatively affected them they protested that they have the right to nullify oppressive national legislation.

    This was a protected tariff. This revised the tariff of 1828 that was supposed to satisfy the South Carolinas.

  • Ordinance of Nullification.

    The nullified both tariffs of 1828 and 1832 to satisfy the South Carolina declaring the tariffs void and nonbonding to the state.

    The force act permitted military use against any state the imposed the tariff acts.

    this bill claimed that all obligations in excess of 20% where going to go down in price every two years.
