It took the colonists 2 months to land in Plymouth. They sailed on a ship called the "Mayflower". Luckily, out of 100 passengers only 1 died. They named the rock they land on "Plymouth Rock"

New England Colonists struggle with surviving because of cold weather. Some die from sickness,disease and lack of food. They couldn't farm because of cold weather and couldnt't hunt either.

The colonists begin to die because of sicknesses spreading and diseases growing. This was due to the cold winter and new environment.

A friendly Native named Samoset introduces himself to the colonists and offers to help them with their problems. He later brings another Native named Squanto.

Squanto and Samoset help the colonists thrive in this new environment. They become the colonitsts first friends. The colonists now have a better chance of survival. Squanto and Samoset show the colonists how to farm in cold weather nad on rocky areas.

The colonists begin to get good amounts of food. They continue to farm and use the teachings Squanto and Samoset showed them. They now have eneough food to survie in winter.

The colonists and Indians have a feast of Thanksgiving of meaning fasting not eating. This is a way to thank God for the good things in your life.

The colonist have an abundance of food and have enough for a great big feast for the indains and colonists. This feast includes singing, dancing, and of course eating!!!!!!

The colonists and natives become great friends and thanks to the first Thanksgiving the colonists and natives have created strong bonds of trust and companionship
