The Emergency Banking Relief Act called congress into a special session, in which they drafted a bill that was passed quick. Roosevelt went on the radio and talked to the people of America. He explained what he had done for them. He relieved them by saying that their money would be safer. He worked to prevent any more crisis's. This act stabilized the banking system. -
Civilian Conservation Corps Act was created mostly to maintain public lands in America. It gave men jobs, gave the failed relief because they received $25 of the $30 the men got paid. The men had 3 meals a day, and were supplied with clothes and more. These men lived in camps and had to wear uniforms. They helped the environment by planting trees, and also built roads. In the end this act helped 3 million men. -
this act regulated the production of commodities. It used crop control to raise prices, which would in the end destroy overproduction. The farm prices were equal from 1904-1914. This act, although, was declared unconstitutional because there were taxes on crops to help support the Agricultural Adjustment Act. The act eventually came back in 1938, and the taxes were ended, but did hurt sharecroppers during this time. -
This act was created to main and operate the Wilson Dam and Muscle Shoals. It improved navigation and controlled floods. It extended transmission of electrical power as well. Men built dams for hydroelectric power for the people that lived in the valley. 5 dams were built to stop floods and navigation. -

The National Industrial Recovery Act was created to reconsigned a state of industrial emergency in America. It suspended anti-trust law and it allowed the president to create an agency. This act restricted each industry into a national cartel. It hope to raise priced by limiting production while protecting purchasing powers. It allowed the president to create a Federal Administration of Public Works, which eventually became the PWQ. The CWA was funded by the NIRA as well. -
The Civil Works Administration was made to help create jobs. it only lasted a short amount of time. It was funded by the NIRA because they both wanted to increase employment and they wanted to do it fast. The Works Progress Administration focused on young people and minorities. By 1943 there was 13 million more employed people. They built on bridges, schools, libraries, sewer systems, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Works Progress Administration also helped the arts in America by establishing libraries. People collected stories and wrote books(state guide books). Although some people believed it caused political corruption. -
The National Labor Relations Act is also called the Wagner Act. Then they created a new National Labor Relations Board. This act granted workers the right to bargain collectively with the people they worked with. It also prohibited employed from firing workers even after a strike not matter what they did. It was made to restrict other ant-union tactics as well. Roosevelt didn't send in troops after the sit-in strikes by the United Auto Workers. -
This act was created to help the poverty of the elderly people in America. It paid for unemployment insurance, it gave money to depended mothers and children, matched grants to states, established unemployment insurance, and gave aid to families with dependent children. It granted pensions to millions of elderly Americans. It was funded as an insurance place, and the first check was issued in 1940 for $41.00. -
The Banking Act of 1834 changed the distribution of power. It changed the power in the Federal Reserve system. It gave the Board of Governors more control too. For example, they gain control over monetary policies in America. The Farm Security Administration was created to help the farmers, sharecroppers, tenant farms, and migrant workers who had become very poor during the Great Depression because of over production. It helped farmers and their families by moving them to more productive land so they could start over.
