    Trojan War
    This war began because of the abduction of Queen Helen by the Trojan prince, This time area was around the time when the kingdoms of Troy and Mycenaean. Helen was the most beautiful woman in the world at the time. Menelaus (husband) then began to gather soldiers from all over Greece so that he had in a war that he was about to encourage.

    Lotus-Eater

    Lotus-Eater
    The Lotus-Eaters were found as Odysseus traveled along the sea. These Lotus-Eaters killed his men that ate honeyed plant in which these Lotus-Eaters thrived off of. Odysseus and his men were originally stopped for a break but then drawn in for something else. They were then transformed into Lotus-Eater themselves.

    This is important because he was also involved in the Trojan War for 10 years which caused him to be separated from his family. This made Odysseus stronger. Other gods and goddesses also participated in this war and they developed character and more influences upon Odysseus' story.

    Cyclops
    Odysseus and his men heard of the dangerous cyclops and they wanted to explore this adventure. Odysseus' ego got in the way so of course, he wanted to draw the attention towards him. Odysseus fooled the cyclops into to thinking that his name was nobody.Odysseus stabbed him in the eye to blur his vision.

    Cyclops Pt.2
    This was an important event this showed and displayed how much power his ego had over himself. This also proved how brave he was and the risk he took to accomplish a personal goal (defeating the cyclops).But at the end of this encounter, Odysseus' pride stopped him and made him call the cyclops over and get into an even bigger situation. In order for their escape out of the Cyclops' home, he had to escape underneath the sheep.

    Bag Of Wind
    Odysseus had a weapon in which contained wind and could blow away its enemy. Odysseus’ men thought that it was a bag of silver and gold. They then showed the readers how they look at things and they developed a trust issue with Odysseus. The men thought Odysseus was being a selfish leader and not contributing towards the rest of his men. In reality, it was actually him taking care of his men and providing for them.

    This is important because it proves the true characteristics of Odysseus’ men. This also explains his men’s loyalty and how they look at the task ahead. They are looking at the money and when they don’t receive any, they assume the man who has been leading them is selfish.
