    When the British taxed the colonists across the sea, the colonists were outraged. They even stormed a ship and dumped the tea off it, into the harbor. This was the Boston Tea Party.

    Paul Revere went to town riding a horse to warn the town that, "The British are coming."
    Also, his friend lit lanterns in the church to tell him where the British were. One by land, and two by sea.

    Lexington was the first battle to unfold in the Revolutionary War. Some people say the shot that started it was, "heard around the world." The British were on their way to get the colonists' ammo in Concord. But, the townspeople in Lexington were not about to hand over their guns.
    This ended badly for Lexington, for they lost lives.
    The British did not care, and marched on to Concord.

    When the British found out the colonists hid an ammo stockpile In Concord, they went to get it. The minutemen fought them off, and the British retreated back to Boston. The colonists shot at the British all the way back.
