    Brits Start Trading
    The British start trading with the Native Americans living in the Ohio River Valley. The British do this because they know that the land and resources are wonderful. France is becoming quiet upset with the fact that the British are stealing thier trade partners.
  • Half King Turns Vicious

    Half King Turns Vicious
    The Half King tricks George Washington into attacking the French ambassador. Although George Washington lost this battle he was sent back to Virgina unharmed. During the Battle, the Half King killed the French ambassador with an axe.
  • End of the Seven Year War

    End of the Seven Year War
    In 1754, the Half King started the conflct in Europe called the Seven Years War. Technically the war did not start until 1756, however the "conflict" lasted nine years. This conflict was also called the French and Indian War. The British beat the French and ended the war with the Treaty of Paris.
  • Proclomation Line

    Proclomation Line
    King George III created the Proclomation of 1763. This line separtes the colonists from the Natives. Ironicly, it also forbid the colonists to enter the Ohio River Valley, which is what the colonists have been fighting for for several years.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The British deside to tax the colonists on sugar, molasses, and other goods. The British said it was "just and necessary". Geroge Grenville was the one one to introduce this act. The Sugar Act was also a modification of the preivous Molasses Act.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The British Tax the colonists on stamps because they were in debt. The British also tax any kind of paper. This is what replaces the Suagr Act. This Tax has really enraged the colonists.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre took place on March 5th, 1770. There were several British soliders, all led by Caption Preston, who shot into a crowd, killing five and injuring six others. The order to fire was not given by a solider. Evern since 1768, there were extreme protests such as this event.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The boston tea party was a protest by the sons of liberty, lead by Samuel Adams. Wearing clothes to look like Natives, they destroyed an entire shipment of tea, which was thousands of dollars worth. They boarded the ship and threw chests of tea overboard into Boston harbor, ruining it. This is one of the most famous protests. It also happened on my birthday.
  • Midnight ride

    Midnight ride
    Paul Revere's midnight ride was to inform a county that the british were coming to kill them. Revere warned patriots along his ride that the british were coming, and most of those people got on their horse to deliver warnings of their own. By the end of the night there were probably as many as 40 riders throughout the County telling people what was about to happen.

    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, states the reasons the 13 colonies wanted independence. This took place in July of 1776. It states that the british colonies want to be a separate nation. The colonists who signed this became either big leaders or big targets.
  • Siege of Yorktown

    Siege of Yorktown
    Even though in 1776 the colonists declared independence, it took a while to battle and fight before a winner could be determined. In the Siege of Yorktown, George Washinton lead his army to victory by strategically sending the French to a bay, while forcing the Brits to the beach, surrounding them. This caused Charles Cornwallis, the British general, to surrendor.
