    Helen and Jenny were born December 2, 1948 in Newcastle, England. The two girls were separated about 6 weeks after they were born. Helen stayed with her birth mother in an abusive family, which included her mother, father, and older brother. Jenny was adopted by a loving couple, Connie and Sid. While Jenny was growing up she was an only child. There are not any pictures of the two girls together after their birth. However, the picture provided is Helen aged six.

    Jenny grew up as an only child with her adoptive parents Connie and Sid. Jenny knew there was something missing from her life but could never identify what this thing was. However, when she was twelve years old she was playing with her cousins outside. Her cousin then said to her, “You’re not even apart of this family, your mams is not your real mother” (166). All of sudden she had discovered what was missing from her life. The picture provided is Jenny aged six.

    When Helen was fifteen years old she was forced to leave all of her friends, family, and boyfriend to move to South Africa for her father Tommy's new job. Her father did give her the option to fly her boyfriend to South Africa the next year, and that is exactly what they did. Helen's boyfriend Simon was flown to South Africa the following year to be with Helen. The picture provided is Helen with her mother Mercia in their flat in South Africa.

    Helen and her boyfriend Simon got married in South Africa. Shortly after their wedding when Helen was twenty-one, they started a family and had two children; Scott and Donna. The family then moved back to England to create a new and happy life that did not include Helen's abusive family. The picture provided is of Helen, Simon and her parents at Helen’s wedding.

    Jenny starts her professional golfing career.
    Jenny has played golf ever since she was a young girl. Her father would make her wooden clubs and take her to the golf course to teach her how to golf. Jenny has loved playing golf throughout her whole life. When she was in her thirties, she became a professional golfer and was extremely successful. Along with being successful, Jenny was the only English women to go professional in her year of golfing. The picture provided is an add in the paper of Jenny golfing.

    After Jenny's golfing career, she settled down with a man named Sam and had three children; Katie, Ben, and Josh. Jenny's youngest boy is adopted and to make sure that he doesn't go through what she did, Jenny created a scrapbook of his life before he was adopted and his life after his adoption. She does not want to keep any secrets from her son revolving around his adoption. The picture provided is Jenny with her children and her birth mother Mercia.

    Jenny was in search for Mercia for quite some time. She then reached out to Mercia and originally got “no” as an answer to meeting. However, Jenny was not happy with the answer she received. Jenny then brought her children to Mercia’s house, where she was let in and had a wonderful re-connection with Mercia. During the visit Jenny was informed of family history and information, including Helen being her sister. The picture provided is Jenny and Mercia meeting for the first time.

    Following Jenny's meeting with her birth mother, she was in non stop shock about the fact that she had a sister. From that point onward is when Jenny started to take steps in the direction of meeting Helen in person. She started with emailing Helen about who she was and how she discovered her. They then began to send emails back and forth, until one day, they met in person and from there onward they have never been apart. The picture provided is the sisters together; Jenny and Helen.

    When Helen and Jenny went looking for their biological father Wilfred, they had discovered that he passed away. When they got to know more about Wilfred, they learned that he was an amazing man and after being married to Mercia he remarried and had six children. That meant that the girls had six other half siblings not including their siblings on their mothers side. The picture provided is the two girls biological father, Wilfred.

    Up until Helen was informed of Jenny, she believed that the abusive man Tommy that raised her was her father. However, the dates of Mercia's relationships with the two sisters fathers did not add up, along with the birth dates of Jenny and Helen. After a DNA test was taken, it confirmed that the two girls share the same parents and have discovered their real father, Wilfred. The picture provided is Helen with Tommy.
