Here we are 2015. Education is constantly changing and technology appears to be more important in the learning environment. School's are recognizing mental health as an important factor for students to be prepared to learn however there are minimal supports in the school environment. Students are exposed to technology through the use of computers, tablets, and smart boards. Education environments continue to be fairly traditional as far as sitting in desks, completing worksheets, and taking test -

Students in special education are integrated with general education peers to the greatest extent possible. Students are involved and facilitating IEP meetings to share strengths and challenges with the team. Data based decision making guides intervention and strategies for learning.
