Gander NL
After 9 11 the US had shut down all of their airports. All flights trying to enter the US had to be rerouted. The majority of them to Gander NL. The people of Gander kindly took in all these americans. They fed them, gave them a place to shower and sleep. The conditions may not have been perfect but Gander did a very nice thing and Canadians are thought of, and think of themselves as nice people.
