  • Super Mario Bros

    Super Mario Bros
I have so many fond memories of my brother and I playing Super Mario on our Nintendo Entertainment System. The console was a gift from a relative but we treasured it like it was brand new. So many hours were spent trying to beat the levels with my brother yelling at me for sucking at the game. Miyamoto, S 1987, Super Mario Bros., Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo
  • Uno

    Uno
I have always been close with my cousins since an early age, so I have so many memories of us getting rowdy playing Uno. We could play for many rounds without getting bored or tired. While we played many card games, Uno has always been the one we keep going back to. Robbins, M 1971, Uno, Mattel
  • The Sims 3

    The Sims 3
Once I got older, I started preferring games that gave me almost full control. I like sandbox type games very much, and Sims 3 has always been a favourite. I love how I get to play God and control the lives of these little people without actually experiencing the consequences of my choices myself. Amos, J.L & Pearson, L 2009, The Sims 3, PC, Electronic Arts Games
  • Minecraft

    Minecraft
During high school, my friends and I would play Minecraft everyday. We couldn't afford the actual game so we found a website that ripped off the game and we'd play with that. It meant the account was free, however we'd lose the perks of being able to join official servers. Mojang 2011, Minecraft, PC, Mojang
  • Overwatch

    Overwatch
Overwatch was another game I played with my high school friends. I remember we would spend every night playing Overwatch while on call, just joking around. It reminds me of simpler times. Blizzard Entertainment 2016, Overwatch, PC, Blizzard Entertainment
  • Mobile Legends

    Mobile Legends
In 2018, I started straying away from PC games and switched platforms to mobile gaming as it was a lot more convenient. Mobile Legends was the first significant game I remember playing right after this switch. The game is similar to League of Legends, but on mobile. I would always play with my friends, I got addicted to winning matches. Moonton 2016, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, IOS, Moonton
  • PUBGM

    PUBGM
I think PUBGM is one of the games I was addicted to the longest. I remember staying up until 5am playing with game with my friends. It was the first FPS/Battle Royale game I actually liked playing. I dabbled with Fortnite and COD too but I didn't like them as much. I enjoyed being able to take my stress out by killing the other players. I really liked this game to the point I bought the battle pass for several seasons. Pubg Corporation 2017, PUBGM, IOS, Pubg Corporation
  • Animal Crossing New Horizons

    Animal Crossing New Horizons
At the start of quarantine, this game was released on the Nintendo Switch. I bought it and started playing right away. I loved the creative freedom (that was also offered in Minecraft). Kyogoku, A 2020, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo
  • Genshin Impact

    Genshin Impact
I'm not usually one for "gacha games" as this game is labelled as, but I was instantly hooked by the intriguing storyline and the amazing graphics. It was clear the creators of the game had put a lot of effort into producing the game. miHoYo 2020, Genshin Impact, IOS, miHoYo
