The battle that began the American Revolution has ended. This was win for the British in Lexington and a win for the Patriots in Concord. The British objective was to destroy an ammo dump in Concord, MA.

Sam returns home Yale with news about Lexington and Concord. He also states that he is going to run off and join the rebellion but father does not approve of this idea.

Sam Meeker steals the Brown Bess from his father and runs off to join the rebels.

Contienental Officiers search Redding for guns. Tim's father is struck by an officier. Then Tim goes and finds Sam and tell him to give back the Brown Bess. Tim arrives at the scene but when he see's his father he runs.

Tim is asked to deliver letters for Mr. Heuron but his father doen't approve of this idea.

Tim lyes to his father so he can go deliver the letter for Mr.Heuron but on the way he gets mugged by Betsey Reed.

Tim's father asks Tim to come with him to Verplanks Point so they can both get supplies for the tavern. The two must hurry because lots of snow is on the way and they meet up with patriot cattle thieves.

Tim and his father arrive at Verplanks Point but on they way home his father disappears and Tim fools the cattle thieves that an escort was coming to save them.

Washington is defeated at Long Island and is now on the run.

Washington and his army cross the Deleware River and attack Hessian troops at Trenton. This american victoy raised the morale of Washington's troops.

British troops march into Redding and the milita tries to stop them but in the end, they can't. Tim watches as a battle brakes out at Captain Starrs house. British charge the house and kill Ned the slave. Tim stil makes back home with a doctor because a patriot messanger had been shot.

Tim's family find out that his father had been dead for nearly a month after his disappearence riding home from Verplanks Point.

Sam returns home from battle but is still on duty. Everyones wants Sam to return but he says he's doing another of duty. Later in the day Sam gets excused for stealing his own cattle when it was really someone elses fault.

Tim pleads to General Putnam that Sam is not gulty and should be released but his pleads fail and is to be executed.

Sam gets executed.
