    Goodbye Paper & Pen
    Staff will leave behind their traditional notepad and pen and begin to take advantage of the mobile devices they have available to them including their own smart phones, tablets, and laptops.

    Fiber Upgrade
    NCOE offices as well as court & community schools will have fiber internet connections. Blazing fast speeds with the broadband.

    Upgraded Computer Lab
    The outdated laptops that are used by all departments at NCOE will be cycled out and replaced with Microsoft Surface, which will be used in addition to iPads.

    Staff have abonded the old fashioned approach of emailing versions of a single document to obtain feedback and are fully embracing cloud apps such as Google Docs.

    Nearly all Napa county schools will have classrooms that have been flipped to one degree or another.

    By this time I hope that NCOEs tech training program will have AT LEAST doubled in size and expanded into different realms as more and more teachers in the county embrace technology and the many different uses of it.

    Google Glass or Some Interation of It
    It's common place to wear Google Glass. I would love to believe this will happen sooner or later, but people will need to get used to the idea. I also envision our teachers and students working with augmented realities along with the ability to access and interact with information in a new way.

    Physical location doesn't matter. Nanotechnologies allow us to work collaboratively from anywhere and without traditional tools like a tablet.

    Can't Fathom!
    I can't even begin to think what new technology will be here in 7years and how that will impact education! The iPad has only been out for about 3yrs and it has transformed so much in a short about of time. 7 tech years can bring about a lot of change!
