Mumford and Sons - Hopeless Wanderer

  • Costumes and Props

There are no costume changes within this music video. The attire of the band remains the same. This is conventional of the genre as it is not about the appearance. It is mainly about their music talents. This is shown through their use of props (instruments) which convey the emphasis and central focus put on their musical abilities, more than anything else, The costumes are farmer-like with brown waistcoats and shirts which have a clear connection with the barn-like setting.
  • Setting and Location

The music video is predominantly about simplicity and talent. The costume is simple, as well as the setting. They are located in a field for one base track, and then at what looks like a barn for the other base track. This is conventional for the Folk genre as it is similar to country and is merely based on musical talents and abilities, rather than appearance. There is nothing in the setting that may draw the audience's attention away from the band memebers as they want focus on the instruments
