Scientist find a huge bulge forming on the side of the mountain

Scientist see that the bulge begins to grow in size.

It is 1 month later and nothing major has happened yet except that the bulge has increased in size.

The ground begins to tremble.

One and a half months have passed since the first minor eruption. This is the day before the major eruption.

The volcano has erupted.

Two more big blasts occur but are not as powerful as the first eruption

Twenty-five seconds later their is an earthquake that measures a 5.1 on the Richter scale.

The ash cloud from the first eruption has built up and it begins to spread to more of Washington.

It is the morning after the eruption. Some civilians remain lost and some are confirmed dead.

One of the lost photographers are found dead and covered in ash in their car. The volcano erupts again but it is much less severe because people are much more prepared.

In June of 1980, the last member who is lost is found dead. The death toll ends up being 57.

1 year later the first tree is planted on Mt. St. Helens.

In 1982, Mt St. Helens was made as an attraction so that the people could view the volcano.
