    Hitler Invades Rhineland
    The leader of the Nazi party and Chancellor of Germany at the time, Adolf Hitler decided to violate the Treaty of Versailles by invading Rhineland. None of the other nations did anything to stop him, this made Hitler bolder and more defiant. This was one of the underlying reasons for the start of WWII.
  • Munich Agreement

    Munich Agreement
    Britain, France, Italy and Germany all met to discuss permitting a portion of Czechoslovakia called Sudetenland that inhabits many German speakers to Nazi Germany. Hitler had stated that he only wants Sudetenland but if Czechoslovakia needs to be governed Hitler would do so. This agreement was supposed to prevent another major war.

    Hitler breaks the Munich Agreement and seizes the rest of Czechoslovakia. The agreement had stated that Nazi Germany is only permitted to take Sudetenland and only govern Czechoslovakia if needed. Each move Hitler had decided on made Nazi Germany even stronger and harder to take down.

This battle began on May 27, 1940 and had ended on June 4th, 1940.

    Hitler had decided to release an air attack on Britain ships. The British airforce was small in comparison to the Germans. But throughout the battle both Britain and Germany had been dropping bombs in major cities in both countries such as Berlin and London, killing many civilians. Eventually, Hitler noticed that his tactics were not working and decided to stop attacking the R.A.F. This was Hitler's second strategic mistake, which had lead to Britain's victory.

    Japanese fighter planes attacked the American base destroying the US aircrafts and navel vessels. This incident killed over two thousand US servicemen and around seventy civilians. This had caused the United States to enter the war.

The war had started because Japan had invaded Thailand and had attacked British possessions of Malaya, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as US military base in Hawaii (Pearl Harbour).

    The Dieppe Raid as known as Operation Jubilee, was an Allied attack on Germany at the French Port of Dieppe. The allies goals consisted of destroying costal defence, port structure and all strategic buildings. None of these objectives were met, 60% of the Allie soldiers were either killed, wounded or captured due to the Germans on the cliff shooting at the soldiers. This lead to Germany's victory.

    The Battle of Ortona had started on December 20th, 1943 and had end eight days later on the 28th of December. This battle was fought between the Germans and the Canadian troops. The Canadian's were able to beat the Germans due to a new tactic called "Mouse-Holing" and also since the Germans lacked reinforcements.

    D-Day also known as Normandy landings was an Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II. Normandy landings is the largest seaborne invasion in history. There was 4,000 to 9,000 causalities on the German side and around 10,000 causalities and a confirmed 4,414 deaths on the Allied side. Even though the Allies had more causalities they still ended up victories.

    The United States had dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945. This was the first atomic bomb used in warfare killing 75,000 civilians instantly and injuries over 100,000 people. This atomic bomb had lasting effects on the people such as cancer.
