King Phillip was an intertribal leader among certain Indian tribes in New England. He was enrgaed with the settlers taking the land and sending Indians farther west, so he alligned himself with other tribes and attacked the colonists. The colonists fought back and managed to cease the threat of New England Indians.

Williiam Penn, a English Quaker, founded Pennyslavania. He got the land because the king was in debt to his father. Pennyslavannia was the most religiously tolerant colony. They event treated the Indians with respect.
