    A British invasion force led by General James Wolfe defeated French troops under the Marquis de Montcalm, leading to the surrender of Quebec to the British. Both commanding officers died from wounds sustained during the battle. The French never recaptured Quebec and effectively lost control of New France in 1760. The battle between Britain and France were inevitable, because they were both growing European nations that competed to colonize countries, sparking clash between them.

    The Pontiac Rebellion was sparked by concern of the colonial settlers taking over or making an invasive attack. A band of American natives, with the leadership of Chief Obwandiyag, they were able to destroy 8 forts British forts and captured and killed hundreds of colonial settlers.

But Both rebellions were disbanded quickly, that in turn introduced the concept of a responsible government.

    The Confederation of Canada was created by 36 founding Fathers in 1867. It was basically when Canada became a country, and independent from Britain. It made the first 4 provinces united as one (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia). What made this one of the most important historical evets is that this is what defined Canada to be a country. And the key people that pushed this to happen is Sir Adams George Archibald. Sir Hector-Louis Langevin. and Sir John Alexander Macdonald.

    The North-Western Rebellion was caused by concern over the white-settlers. It was the Metis people being concerned over their land rights and the decline in bison population, which was their biggest food source. The result was their leader, Louis Riel, being hanged, and the full control over the Metis from the British.
    The Pacific Northwest Railroad played a role of making BC join Canada. And because of it, immigration/tourism were up, and made it easier for goods to travel across Canada.

    World War 1 lasted from 1914 - 1918. Through that, it solidified Canada's unity and bonds with each other. On the battlefield and back at home. Because Canada was still under British Dominion, so when the British joined in WW1, it automatically made Canada join in too. And throughout the 4 year period, 650,000 Canadians served in the war. And 172,000 Cam back home wounded .And more than 66,000 of the Canadians that fought died on the battlefield.

This was very significant because it was a big step towards human equality concerning male and female. And it was a proper course of action to ensure a equal and fair democracy in Canada. Because of this event, it sparked a thinking of women not being limited only to their feminine jobs, careers, and stereotypes.
