    In 1922 average weekly attendance was 40 million but peaked in 1948 when it was 90 million
  • Radio

    By the late 1920's radio was becoming a big competitor for other networks of mass media and it was growing tremendously from having $4,000,000 in gross advertising in 1927 to $10,000,000 in 1928
  • Sound recordings

    Started taking off in 1940's it relied solely on costumer purchases and not advertising revenue and it was an entertainment medium
  • Television and video-

    In 1956 television had 12.2% of total media advertising and made magazines media advertising drop 8%
  • Computers

    The whole U.S. Population had purchased 415,000 PC's in 1980 and introduced computer magazines and there were 30 by the end of 1980
  • The Internet

    Provided many benefits from print, radio, radio, and television. It was very big and made $2 billion in advertising revenue in 1996
