Vladek and his family moved to the Ghetto and then they are summond to the Dienest stadium which is when they are takin to the camps.

Vladek and Anja along with other families hide together in various bunkers to avoid being sent to the camps. Eventually they are found out.

Germany occupies Hungary in march. Between late April and early june over 440,000 hungarian Jews were deported from Hungary, most of them went to Auschwitz. Elie Wiesel is fifteen years old when he and his family are deported.

The last of the Jews were taken. Vladek, Anja, and some relatives are left to hide in a bunker. When it seems as though the Nazis have left everyone leaves the bunker trying to blend in with the polish workers.
