In Mary's young life she became engaged to several people.She was engaged Prince Francis when she was 3 and to Charles v of Spain. Each engagement failed. Her father wanted here to marry for the good of the kingdom not for love because she was the only heir.

Because Queen Catherine didn't have any sons that lived King Henry divorced Her and Married Anne Boleyn. After their marriage Mary's father demanded Mary give up her name as Princes but Mary refused because her mother tolled her to.

Mary finnaly became queen after Mother died,her father died,her step mothers arrest,and her half brothers death. Mary had a very sad young life.

Because Mary didn't approve of the Protestant pleading there faith Mary started to burn anybody who did so at the stake.Mary was a strong Catholic and a powerful queen marry was able to do so.The first protestan was burned in February 1555.

Mary burned people at the stake from 1555 to 1558 just because they where protestants.She gave no mercy even to those with families.She burned about 100 each month so in in total around 3600 people where burned over 3 years.The final burns where completed in 1558.

Mary believed that God had given her the throne so that she could bring England back to the Catholic Church.This mean that she was strong in her faith and wasn't Rey open for any other ways of her faith.
