    Birth
    On October 10th, 1985, Esther and Dimos Diamandis had a beautiful welsh baby girl. Her name was Marina Lambrini Diamandis. Marina was born in Brynmawr, United Kingdom.
  • Divorce

    Divorce
    In 1989 (when Marina was only four years old) her parents, Dimos and Esther, divorced. Marina, her mother, and her older sister, Lafina, moved to Abergavenny, Wales.
  • Primary and Secondary School

    Primary and Secondary School
    (From 1991 to 2003) Marina went to Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls for most of her life. During her school time, Marina would often skip choir class as she thought she didn't have the talent to be there. Her music teacher convinced her otherwise. Marina later moved to Greece to finish her last two years of secondary school. She graduated in 2003 from St. Catherine's British Embassy School in Athens.
  • College and University

    College and University
    After high school, marina decided to enroll at University of East London wanting to study music and culture. A few months later she transferred to Middlesex University where she studied musical composition course. After three months, Marina left university because she wanted to learn how to create music first hand.

    In 2007, Marina released her first demo EP on MySpace. She produced and self-composed the whole EP on GarageBand. Marina sold handmade copies of the EP on her MySpace account. The track list included Marina's first song (Plastic Rainbow). This song motivated and inspired Marina to create more songs and more music. [Note: I have Plastic Rainbow + most of tracks from this EP on my laptop of you would like to listen to it]
  • Obsessions

    Obsessions
    This was Marina's Debut single that would later appear on her first studio album. This song gained attention by popular bloggers due to it being UN-commercial and odd.
  • The Family Jewels Tour (The Buger Queen Tour)

    The Family Jewels Tour (The Buger Queen Tour)
    This was Marina's first international tour. On this tour she went to Europe, North America, and Australia. This lead to the grand total of 135 shows. The tour ended on December 4th, 2011.

    On February 15, 2010, Marina released her debut album. This album sold over 27K copies in the first week of its release. Currently the album has sold over 500K copies all over the globe. Marina describes this album as "the seduction of commercialism, modern social values, family and female sexuality." and -

    This may have been one of marina's first big music festival that she preformed at. During this time Marina only had one studio album out so she sang mainly covers and songs from 'The Family Jewels'.

    This is one of Marina's least known music festivals. Like the others from the TFJ era she preformed covers and original songs.
  • SWR3 Music Festival

    SWR3 Music Festival
    This was deep into the TFJ era. She preformed many songs including Are You Satisfied?, The Outsiders, and much more.
  • Afisha Picnic Festival

    Afisha Picnic Festival
    This event took place right before the Electra Heart era. She preformed songs from 'The Family Jewels' and maybe some covers.
  • Blue Balls Festival

    Blue Balls Festival
    This was also in-between the TFJ (The Family Jewels) era and the EH (Electra Heart) era. The new album has not yet been released so like the other concerts and festivals during thing this time period she mainly sang songs from TFJ and some covers.
  • Primadonna

    This was Marina's first single prior to the release of her upcoming album, Electra Heart. It somewhat shows what the theme of her album was going to be.

    [This is going to be long] This is Marina's second studio album. This album follows Electra heart who Marina describes as, "the girl you run into in the supermarket wearing a faux fur coat and sunglasses, leisurely picking through the avocado. Her cart is filled with champagne and strawberries and she doesn’t even care that you’ve been staring at her from the bakery aisle. She’s angsty, and you can tell that her phone conversation didn’t end well by the way she dramatically-
  • Electra Heart pt.2

    Electra Heart pt.2
    dropped her phone and wiped a solitary tear from her cheek. The same cheek that has a eyeliner-drawn heart on it." She was inspired by the 1950's American dream. Such as, living glamorous, having everything you would ever want, etc. She wanted to make this album to detail female identity. Electra heart (the character) portrays four different archetypes, "Teen Idle", "Primadonna", "Homewrecker", and "Su-Barbie-A".
  • The Lonely Hearts Club Tour

    The Lonely Hearts Club Tour
    The tour for the Electra Heart era began on May 27th, 2012. Marina traveled to Europe and North America. In total she did 79 different shows. This tour ended on May 29th, 2013.
  • Northside Festival

    Northside Festival
    marina preformed this soon after the release of her new album, Electra Heart. She preformed in a body-con dress (its an iconic outfit for this era) and a veil. She also often preforms in a matching crop top and a pencil skirt. Many outfits are inspired by 50's fashion
  • FROOT ( the song )

    On October 10th, 2014, Marina's first single for her upcoming album was released. She wanted it to be released for streaming on her birthday so that her fans could celebrate something too. It was later released for download in November.
  • Osheaga Music Festival

    Osheaga Music Festival
    Marina sang many songs from her past eras on this concert. She sang songs like I Am Not A Robot, I'm A Ruin, and Savages.
  • Cochella

    Cochella
    During Cochella, Marina sang a song with Clean Bandit. This song was called, 'Disconnect'. The song caused a lot of chaos with her fans since they (Marina + Clean Bandit) have not released or even mentioned the song before they preformed it. The song was later released in June of 2017.
  • FROOT

    FROOT
    Froot is Marina's third studio album. In this album it shows how Marina (after Electra Heart) is trying to find a better her. She wants to let go of things that will hurt others (I'm A Ruin). Froot was released early due to it leaking online. Marina released the songs (the singles) one by one and she called this, 'The Froot of the Month'. This album reached the top 10 on the USA and UK charts.
  • Sziget Festival

    Marina preformed at the Sziget Festival in 2015. She preformed a lot of songs from her most recent album at the time (Froot) and sang many of her previous songs from past eras.
  • V Festival

    V Festival
    Like the Sziget Festival, she mainly preformed songs from Froot. This was one of the many festivals she preformed the summer of 2015.
  • Neon Nature Tour

    Neon Nature Tour
    On the 12th of October, 2015, Marina officially went on tour after the release of her third studio album. On this tour she went to 52 different shows in the UK, US, and South America. The tour ended on on March 20, 2016 in Santiago, Chile.
  • Marina's 4th album

    Marina's 4th album
    Marina has said multiple times, in comments and on post, that she has been writing songs for a year or two. Marina also stated that she was planning to release new music this summer or year. She is not yet in the studio but we are expecting a new album by early 2019.
